Over 100 years ago hot springs were discovered at Fairmont. The Kootenai Indians used these springs for medicinal and healing purposes. Today it is Canada's largest natural mineral hot pool with temperatures ranging from 35?C to 48?C. There are 4 pools - a hot soaking pool, a diving pool, and a large swimming and lap pool. There is also another hot soaking pool for hotel guests only. Located approximately 100 meters above the resort is Fairmont Heritage Baths, which is the original site of the hot springs.
The front nine takes you through magnificent scenery, while the back nine stay close to the mountains with a bit of a challenge at several holes.
With spectacular views in both directions, the course winds along the headwaters of the Columbia River and its signature hole is No 5, a par 3, where you drive across the river twice with one shot.
The course features two water holes, ponds, streams and sand bunkers and is perfect for seasoned golfers trying to improve their short game.
It is challenging and has been parred only four times! It's perfect for all ages and skill levels.
