Fairmont Hot Springs

Fairmont Hot Springs

Over 100 years ago hot springs were discovered at Fairmont. The Kootenai Indians used these springs for medicinal and healing purposes. Today it is Canada's largest natural mineral hot pool with temperatures ranging from 35?C to 48?C. There are 4 pools - a hot soaking pool, a diving pool, and a large swimming and lap pool. There is also another hot soaking pool for hotel guests only. Located approximately 100 meters above the resort is Fairmont Heritage Baths, which is the original site of the hot springs.

Radium Hot Springs

Radium Hot Springs

The first pool was only big enough for one man. Since then the springs have changed again and again. You can relax in the hot pool (46?C) and try and catch a glimpse of a bighorn sheep on the surrounding hillside, or go for a dive or a vigorous swim in the cool pool (27?C). The facility also has a day spa, a gift shop, a cafe with indoor & outdoor seating, interpretive exhibits, and there are excellent hiking trails which will lead you right into downtown Radium. The pools are open year round and you can obtain day passes or family and group rates.
